The Bridgewater Hall (BWH) is one of the most prestigious and important performing arts venues in the United Kingdom with a significant international reputation. The Venue hosts classical music concerts, rock and pop and a wide range of contemporary performances, along with educational institution graduations/presentations, conferences and seminars. In addition the Venue programmes a number of its own performances and events annually.
The Security Manager will be responsible for providing organisational and supervisory direction in leading the Security Department and team ensuring the Venue is professionally presented and operated at all times and that through the department the highest level of security service is delivered to the public and promoting organisations attending and operating within the facility. Working with the Chief Executive’s Department and the wider organisational department of the Security Director of SMG Europe, the Security Manager will ensure that all events are operated securely in cooperation with the other departments and their operations for the these events and the general daily workings of the facility. The role oversees the employment of security staff permanent, casual and contracted and their associated training and the implementation of OH&S policies.
