Marketing Assistant

Key Accountabilities

  1. Handling incoming / outgoing correspondence by post, email and social media.
  2. Maintain and update corporate client database, selling hospitality packages, signage and advertising.
  3. Assisting with marketing activities including but not limited to; competitions, press releases, visitors’ book etc.
  4. Maintain files and archives.
  5. Maintain database of clients, promoters and brochure requests etc.
  6. Update information on the website (Events, News, Booking Information, Terms and Conditions etc.)
  7. Assist in the selling of Advertising to promoters and event organisers.
  8. Administration and general office duties as required.
  9. Covering for absences and holidays of other staff.
  10. Any other duties as required by the Theatre Director.

 Skills & Competencies required:

  1. Computer literate across Microsoft packages essential, Apple Mac knowledge desirable.
  2. Good understanding of Web platforms and current social media trends.
  3. Flexibility to work some unsocial hours if required.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both written/spoken.
  5. To be able to work to plan as requested by Marketing Executive.
  6. Reliable with the willingness to learn and develop.
  7. Capable of integrating into a new team, demonstrating the ability to work both alone and as a team member.

Additional Points

There may be a requirement to travel to other SMG Venues / Sites.
