To assist the venue Operations team in providing a high standard of technical support and expertise for a diverse
calendar of concerts and events.
General electrical works in line with NICEIC requirements
Carrying out installation of temporary electrical supplies and communications to BS7909
Supporting visiting productions with connection to venue services
Operating Computer Controlled lighting systems
The operation of building management system
Assisting in the maintenance of the building facilities in an efficient, operational manner
Controlling and monitoring all building systems during events
Carrying out emergency repairs on building systems and maintaining a clean work area
Carrying out general maintenance as necessary.
Supporting show connectivity to event services and systems (Sound , IT / Communications)
Supporting the event department with the smooth running of technical elements of events
Any other duties assigned
City and Guilds 5357 Electrical Apprenticeship (or equivalent)
Or City and Guilds 2365 level 3 (or equivalent).
2 years’ experience preferably within conferences, theatre, stage or commercial maintenance
Trained to 18
th edition of the IET Regulations BS7671
City and Guilds NA7909 in temporary electrical Installations
City and Guilds 2377 Portable Appliance Testing Certificate (or equivalent)
Electrical testing and inspection 2391
Ideally the candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and behaviours:
Experience working within a public service industry
Able to perform physical labour tasks
Be able to work unsupervised
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to problem solve and make key decisions following industry and venue
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Prioritise workloads based on client requirements/expectations
Knowledge of venue systems and touring productions
