General Statement of Duties

The post holder will be required to provide the best possible support to the client, develop good external relationships with clients, supporting services and suppliers and support their line manager in all functions.
This will require knowledge of the required systems of operation and to maintain these systems with regard to carrying out the required duties and delegation with the responsibility of their operation being crucial to this role

General Responsibilities

• To provide local knowledge and supervision of internal and external maintenance works
• The scheduling of staff to meet venue requirements, issuing of work instructions, prioritising and delegation of workload
• Responsible for the maintenance and operation of technical and fixed equipment within the facility
• The monitoring and review of relevant safety procedures and policies to ensure they are implemented to the required standard, including participation on the health and safety committee
• Monitoring individual and team performance to maintain and improve the service provided by both staff and external suppliers
• Ensuring that contracted work is carried out with the minimum of disruption, within the specified times and to an acceptable standard
• To perform other duties as assigned including assigning instructing and supervision of staff as required to undertake the required site instruction


Key Responsibility Areas

Gas Work - Assist with the Gas Safe Inspection, Boiler Servicing general repairs

NIC Work - Assist with the NIC/EIC Inspection, Maintain the NIC/EIC paperwork and file, Ensure paperwork is completed, Advise to the suitability of repair work and paperwork

Concept - PPM, Breakdown, Ensure that the job scheduling is maintained and the relevant task sheets are completed and signed off and filed as required

Day to Day Operational duties to include - multi tasking, delegation, time keeping monitoring, employee conduct, monitoring of task progress, time sheets, Urbis rota and spot payment/lieu day implementation, book casual staff, pass the required information and monitor their performance

Attend meetings - H&S advisory capacity and complies with regulations including Events Load in cover, advice of projects, advice to event department (show power etc)

Training - Advice to team, Set up training agenda (Mentors, Coaching, Counsellor, By example)

Breakdowns - Investigate, rectify, take responsibility and to include working the required hours (call out or after normal working hours)

Telephone System - Provide support, rectify faults and provide facilities as requested

Project Work - Responsibility to ensure that projects are on target

Stock Control - Monitor assigned areas of responsibility and supplier performance

Provide Cover - Urbis(senior engineer) Arena( FM Manager)

Provide support to the Assistant FM Director
